This series of monthly workshops is geared towards building community and supporting artists/aspiring writers in their creative process. The workshops will consist of exercises and prompts lead by the host and/or featured community artists (writers, musicians, spoken word poets, etc.)
The goal of these workshops is 3-fold:
1. To provide space for local individuals and creatives to build their writing practice.
2. To gather and center the voices of POC living in Roxbury, Mattapan, Dorchester & JP in order to RECLAIM space and actively resist gentrification in Boston.
3. To offer a space for community building and networking.
This event series is open to aspiring writers and writers of all genre. Please note that this is an anti-oppressive space that centers marginalized voices. Leave your privilege at the door (or in the donations!)
