LunchTime ComiX presents "Joy and Pain"
Haley House Bakery Cafe
12 Dade Street, Roxbury, MA 02119

Join Haley House for the Opening Artist Reception of LunchTime ComiX (LTC), a comic series that follows the life of a racially ambiguous father/husband/artist & his family and the everyday struggles of being a person-of-color in today’s crazy world.

// About Lunch Time ComiX //
LTC is a project started as a self-challenge by Boston -based artist and illustrator, Cagen Luse. He wanted to see if he could quickly produce a four-panel comic strip in an hour on his lunch break for a five day work week. He completed that challenge and published the comics on Facebook. They were about him, his family and growing up and living as a racially ambiguous artist, father, foodie, sci-fi nerd and husband. There was such an overwhelming positive response from his friends and family that he decided to continue the project until he was out of ideas. For the last three years the episodes have been published weekly on social media. They explore many themes including race, self identity and gentrification.

These are 12 out of the 140 episodes in the series that deal with social justice.
